Full Time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 08.00-16.00 and Friday 08.00-15.30)

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Scheme Manager at our Sheltered Housing Scheme in Norwich. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide support to our Residents to enable them to live as independently as possible. The role involves:

  • To deliver a tailored support to residents and to monitor their welfare through support planning.
  • To assist tenants in claiming relevant welfare benefits, maximising their income and ensuring rent is paid through appropriate methods.
  • Responsible for allocation and letting of empty homes within the Scheme.
  • To work with other professional and voluntary agencies to encourage good neighbourhood relations and promote a sense of community.

About You

All staff and volunteers working for Broadland will always be expected to act in a manner that is consistent with our corporate values and behaviours. 

The role is extremely customer focussed and partnership working will often be required in order to meet the customer’s needs. Consequently, experience of multi-agency working, and a good knowledge of local services is desirable.

The successful candidate will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English & Maths) or equivalent, good numeracy and literacy skills; a strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices and experience of providing support (including welfare and benefits) relevant to Tenants in Social Housing.
